The global demand for pollinators outstrips what beekeepers can supply. Wild bees often make up for this shortage. But for how much longer? One wild bee species in ten is threatened. The number of wild flowers around the globe has fallen by 70% since the 1980s. Plants and bees have co-evolved over 100 million years. In barely a century, humans have profoundly changed their environment. Will bees have time to adapt?
